Accounts Assistant - Full time

Responsible to: Director responsible for Accounts

Main responsibilities of role:

  1. Maintain & reconcile all Client Bank Accounts.
  2. Reconcile and pay Insurer statements.
  3. Carry out the tasks in accordance with agreed Accounts Team procedures.

Main Tasks:

  1. To reconcile insurance company statements.
  2. To make payments to insurers.
  3. To bank all payments received.
  4. Post client payments daily.
  5. Operate credit control system including sending of invoice reminders and statements.
  6. To control and report on all payments received and to be received from relevant credit agencies, by standing order or by BACS.
  7. Carry out end of Month/Year including preparation of reports as required by the Directors.
  8. Reconcile and allocate credit card & Pay Pal payments daily.
  9. Assist with opening and distribution of post
  10. Process cheque requests, write offs and client refunds.
  11. Issue and follow up on Account Queries raised with the teams, working with Broking department to ensure queries are resolved timely.
  12. Reconcile all bank accounts on a weekly basis.
  13. Run reports monthly or as requested by the Directors.
  14. Production of the client money report and commission clearing for the Company Accountant.
  15. Carry out student travel month end including the website reconciliation.
  16. Adhere to all FCA regulations.
  17. Adhere to all company training and competence procedures.
  18. Undertake additional work as and when required.
